Thought you might like to see what DOTH (Daughter Of The House) was up to while I was slaving away - nine hours a day -- on the book:
Just 3 hours away, by plane...
but oh, so different
cruisin' the Florida Everglades
with her retired friends, Ann and Gord
Makin' friends -
don't want to make an enemy of this one
Watchin' birds
Catchin' some sun
Relaxin' by the pool
Searchin' for shells
And watchin' the sun go down...
and down....
That looks good to me! Not sure about the croc though, I hope that was taken with a zoom lens! I have been peeping at your art and stuff and I will be looking again, it looks interesting.
ReplyDeleteWhat fabulous pictures. That sunset is out of this world. I don't think I would have got close enough to that croc to snap him - he looks far too eager to snap back!!x
ReplyDeleteI love the Everglades. We took one of those hover boats and I loved it. The weather was warm with a light drizzle, so that kept the mosquitoes away. Great photos. Now that she's back, I have to ask, does DOTH know about the Burmese pythons, now all too abundant in the swamplands???
ReplyDeleteHa, ChrisJ -- not sure I'm going to tell her. She may want to go back sometime ("what the eye deosn't see the heart doesn't feel" - or something like that!)!
ReplyDeleteYes, Elizabeth, me too! Cute from afar -- VERY far!
Hi Goosey; thanks for dropping by! As you can see, I am only a novice at art, just yet. But I love trying!
I have heard about Canadian 'Snow birds' who go down to Florida for the winter. Looks like a nice idea, but I am allergic to crocodiles and 'gators. Which was it by the way?
ReplyDeleteHi Snafu, thanks for stopping by. DOTH tells me it was a 'gator. I think he's rather magnificent -- from a distance!
