We've had a quite a mild winter so far, with little snow, so I guess, when it comes, I am able to enjoy it more and see its beauty.
The last three photos were taken just a few minutes ago through the living room window. It's a long time since I have actually seen formations of snowflakes. They floated down and settled so gently - I am sure if I could magnify these photos enough we would be able to actually see some individual designs. So beautiful!
It is quite magical when you can see the individual flakes like that. We are moving into a colder period here, with snow around on high ground but nothing like that here - yet. Ironic because a hard winter was predicted and all the shops stocked up with piles of sledges and snow shovels and so on, but so far nothing has sold.

Thanks snafu. Glad to know your winter has not been a tough one so far - let's hope it stays that way, here and there! Not sure what they predicted for us, but to make it through January so mildly is wonderful! There is a little snow on the ground today, but the sun is shining so beautifully - does the heart good!
