Too right! It is a long way up and the glass floor is quite scary. Interestingly, a few days after doing 'le Tour CN', we went up the Sears tower in Chicago and whilst they mentioned the Eiffel tower, which is much shorter than the Sears, they made no mention of the CN tower which is taller. They also cheated, because the lift (elevator) starts below ground level and they count floors!
My comment seems to have got lost in the web along with much on this site. A few days after we did le Tour CN, we went up the Sears Tower in Chicago. Whilst they mentioned the Eiffel Tower is shorter, they failed to mention the CN tower which is taller. They also cheat because you start from below street level and they count the floors!
I am not afraid of heights, Elizabeth - but I think that would be overdoing it. There is a glass floor on the top of the tower, that one can stand on and look all the way down. I can just about manage that! I thought that maybe you, who amazed and thoroughly impressed us by walking on hot coals, might be up for the challenge?
Oops! I wrote le instead of la. I am not sure that TBH will want to repeat the experience I will ask her. I certainly would like to. The movie 'Up' was being advertised on the lift doors when we were there two years ago. :)
Blogspot seems to have it in for me I have tried several times to get comments on various blogs without success today. I wanted to say Oops! I wrote le instead of la. Maybe it will work this time:[
Our lives are like a patchwork quilt; a work of art by a Master Designer. Life is made up of joys and sorrows; good times and bad; excitement and the daily grind. The underside of the 'quilt of life' seems to have little or no design, but the finished product is truly a masterpiece, and is the joy of the Creator.
Here is a place for me to share the 'patches' that make up my life. it may not look too great right now -- but I trust the One who is "working all things together for good" in it, will be pleased with the end result!
I am 72 years old. When I was a child, I was told by my art teacher in primary school that I would never be able to draw - so for 60 years I never tried!
Thanks to some great encouragement from my sister, a number of years ago, I actually tried - and discovered that I actually do have a bit of talent.
Art is a work of creation, that we inherited from our Creator. It is in our DNA in one form or another. I don't do as much as I would like to, but I will post my attempts, from time to time.
Over 100 incredible missionary stories from around the world. Read about their lives, their challenges, their joys and heartaches, victories and defeats! You'll laugh, cry, pray --and you may even be changed!
