Hope you all had a great Christmas and that this New Year will find you in good health and bring you many joys along the way. For those times when joy is hard to find, I pray that we will all find strength from the One who can help us to make it through.
I've been doing a lot of reading recently (Oh, those wonderful Chapters Christmas gift cards!). And, wonders of wonder, I have found a friend who has pretty much the same tastes as me, and to whom I can pass on my books. (In fact SHE gave me a Chapters Gift Card for Christmas -- a wise investment on her part!).
Most amazing of all is that I have five, count them - five! delicious (I hope) books still waiting for me to read!
I generally won't buy a book unless it's been recommended to me, because books are too expensive these days to buy and not enjoy and/or not complete.
So, unlike my faithful visitor, Rabbit or Snafu Take Your Pick (his blog is here and it is well worth a visit -- you have never read book reviews quite like his), I am hopeless at book reviews, I do plan to tell you a little about the books I've recently read, find out if you have read them and see if you feel the same as I do about them.
I am a VERY picky reader, and there are a couple of books I have recently thrown in the trash -- from a series that started out well, but which has progressed downhill to....well, I am getting ahead of myself; I will save my comments for next time.
However, in the interest of time, I thought I would start the New Year with another "What Is It?"
Here it is:
It might be fairly easy, so I won't add any clues for now - and see how well you do!
Glad you're back. Running out to Bible Study right now, but could your mystery photo be a corner of the back of a chair? You should visit Morning AJ to see a very witty comment by Snafu. Got your e mail. Reply soon -- and Moth thinks I'm sitting here twiddling my thumbs!
ReplyDeleteHooray! you are back. Almost? I hope you had a good hibernation.
